about

It's a song I wrote while in isolation. My girlfriend at the time really wanted to go to Osoyoos but we couldn't because of road blockades. I got into a sort of facetious mindset and was instead like "Best water your cactus" and the lines developed from there. It's about finding the light inside of your rather than always looking outside for more. Whatever it maybe find your escape. Be that art, music, meditation, yoga or journaling. Instead of destruction, choose creation. That's the message behind this song.

lyrics

It's only in the dawn that you call out.
I don't see another way, for us to get out.
It's best to stay at home cook some breakfast.
No Osoyoos today, best water your cactus.

This oasis of cement. It keeps us warm and the locusts fed.
You know it's just a trap. When we're caught in this line of thinking.
I know theres gotta be a way. But how the wasp it likes to sting.
Anything and everything.

Allergies aside, we should go out.
We're in our cradle of filth and it's time for a closeout.
Done this not just once, but thrice over.
And I'm hungover today and there isn't any meaning.

This oasis of cement. It keeps us warm and the locusts fed.
You know it's just a trap. When we're caught in this line of thinking.
I know theres gotta be a way. But how the wasp it likes to sting.
Anything and everything.

Whatever it may be, find your escape. Your escape.
It might sound crazy but the art can save. Art can save.
Whatever it may be, find your escape. Your escape.
